Morning arrival in Lowell where you will discover the history of America's Industrial Revolution as you visit
Lowell Mills. At the Boott Cotton Mills Museum, see the operating weave room of 88 power looms and hear about the difficult life of the "mill girls" who left their farms in Canada to experience a better life in the United States. This story traces the immigrant and labor history during the beginning of the Industrial Revolution. Your next stop
will be the Working People Exhibit in the boarding house.
Onto Lexington and Concord where you will meet your local tour guide. A box lunch is included at Walden
Pond. This afternoon hear the tale of the American Revolution as you travel the Battle Road. A stop will be made at the Minute Man Visitor's Center to view the multi-media presentation. Your next stop is the Concord Museum where you will see the real "lantern that was hung" in the steeple of the Old North Church to signal Paul Revere.
In Concord, visit the North Bridge where the "shot heard round the world" was fired. Concord is also known as
the home of the authors.
